Experience Independent Cinema in Kansas City

The Jubilee is an all-volunteer organization and we need your creativity, energy and experience to help celebrate independent filmmaking in Kansas City.

• 13th Annual Jubilee Film Festival – April 22 – 26, 2009

Marketing

• Public Relations – write press releases – local, regional, national
• Sponsorships – corporate sponsors for events, services (printing, accommodations, transportation, food, etc.)
• Media Relations – set up interviews on radio & TV
• Distribution of materials – flyers, posters, etc.

Programming Committee

• Pre-screening of entries
• Develop festival screening

Education

• Seminars
• Workshops

Hospitality

• Guest packets
• Transportation
• Accommodations
• Receptions – venues, food, drink

Technology

• Projection
• Program reels
• Decks

During the festival:

• Screening Hosts – introduce film/filmmaker, help clear theater after screening
• Visiting Filmmaker Host – act as personal liaison during filmmaker’s stay in KC
• Box Office / Ticket Sales / Merchandise Sales
• Transportation – transport visiting filmmakers from/to airport
• Set up / clean up – receptions, festival office, seminars, etc.
• Marketing – distribute flyers, posters, etc.
• Audio Visual Techs – run video projectors, sound
• Photographers – Jubilee will pay for film, processing, batteries if digital.
• Videographers – Jubilee will pay for videotape.

Work two shifts and get a festival pass.
